L2P Cycle Challenge June 2016Almost exactly a year to the day after the epic Tower to Tower Row Challenge Steve and the Cycle team set off from the Tower of London on their 3 day epic journey across the south of England, through normandy, along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower.
Total distance over 400km was completed in 3 days to arrive in Paris on the Sunday evening. For details of the team click on the Team link in the menu...special thanks has to go out to Anton and Daz, our awesome support team, for making this possible!!! Nice one gents. |
Day OneLondon to Portsmouth - on paper the toughest day. 152km racing to catch the ferry. Some tough hill over the sussex downs but we made it in good time.
|
Day TwoThe overnight ferry proved to be a tough place to get the good nights sleep we needed. arrived in Le Havre 830am, straight on the bikes (sore bums) for an epic 127km to our overnight stay in Connelles
|
Day ThreeDay 3 should have been the easiest on paper but a we approached paris the traffic lights meant the riding was very stop start which played havoc on the tired knees. Floods in paris meant a bit of an enforced detour right at the end be we nailed the 125km in time for a few beers and a pizza!
